~ Seven universities surpass national average with Florida Gulf Coast University at 100% ~
TALLAHASSEE, FL (February 7, 2024) 鈥 The 澳门抓码王 had an average passage rate of 92% on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), which exceeded the national average of 90%. The System average for 2023 was up from 83%, nine percentage points, in 2022. All universities improved their passage rates from 2022 to 2023. Seven institutions also had passage rates above the national average with 100% of the nursing graduates from Florida Gulf Coast University passing the exam.
Over the past two years, Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature invested $46 million to enhance excellent nursing programs through the Prepping Institutions, Programs, Employers, and Learners through Incentives for Nursing Education (PIPELINE) and the Linking Industry to Nursing Education (LINE) funds. These funds have expanded the capacity of SUS nursing programs leading to 1,800 nursing graduates, a record-high for the SUS.
鈥淒uring 2022-23, the 澳门抓码王 graduated more nurses than ever before and continued a standard of distinction by ensuring these graduates excelled on the nursing exam preparing them for a career in an in-demand field,鈥 said Chancellor Ray Rodrigues. 鈥淭his is why receiving the PIPELINE and LINE funding is critical for our System.鈥
